Key data from the pricing sessions in the United States, Europe and Asia for the

week ended Tuesday March 10.

China:

Despite a strengthening yuan, soft overseas demand weighed on the Chinese export price.
Foreign consumers were in no hurry to place orders because they had already procured material
in February. Secondary aluminum alloy plants reduced their demand for silicon grade 5-5-3 after they cut
production due to declining alloy prices.

Europe:

Silicon market participants reported lower prices for some material due to trade flows from China
resuming. The silicon grade 5-5-3 price widened downward on slightly lower offers.
The silicon grade 4-4-1 price narrowed upward amid thin trading.

US:

The US silicon price resumed its downtrend this month, following an increase in February - its first
in two years. The price fell after shipments of cheap supply from China began to resume, having been disrupted
by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCov) outbreak. Decreased auto industry demand kept silicon buyers out of the spot market.
