Unprecedented Environment Investigation in China, Widely Impacts to Raw Materials’ Productio

    Recently in China, rounds of vilent environment investigations are raised by government, and makes great changes to all the raw materials production. Official working-teams are directly appointed by Chinese central government.Until now, more than 176,000 factories, in 31 provinces of China, have been forced to close up and stop production for upgrading facilities. It has caused unprecedented impacts to Chinese industies now.

   “Price for everything is increasing, everyday.” many people complained. For example, raw materials production, like electrode, petroleum coke, coal, are suddenly “cut off”, which quickly transmit to the downstream of electricity, metallurgy, mineral products, paper...

   For our silicon metal production, in one hand, environment investigation froced many furnaces closed; The other hand, as per short supply of its main material, smelters have to stop production. Because of capacity’s greatly reduction, spot material are quite few and hard to buy in now. Prices of silicon metal products are flying, which leads to the cost increasing of Aluminum, polysilicon, organosilicon industries.

   Since government’s investigation strom will be still lasting for months, this situation are foreseen to be continuing.

Moreover, a new legislation of collecting taxes from polution-produced manufactories will be go into effected from Jan.1st, 2018.

   How strong impact will be cased to Chinese industries? Where will Chinese factories go? We are still wait and see. However, it should be definitely deemed to csot-increasing, in all industries.
